Hi, my name is Kristi Wright and I wrote the Basker Twins in the 31st Century: Danger at the Clone Academy. This is the first book in the series.  I know there will be 2 more for sure and I expect there will be plenty of other adventures set in my 31st century future. I’ve been writing for a long time but this is the first story I’ve published.

I’m 45 years old, I’ve been married for twenty-two years to a great guy and I have a really cool teenage daughter. I’ve worked at the same very large technology company in Silicon Valley—that’s in Northern California—for over 22 years. My first job was as a computer programmer.  I taught computer classes for a few years as well.  Now, I’m in marketing, which means I don’t actually do anything very technical anymore, but I am required to be able to communicate clearly about technology.

Over the years, I’ve spent most of my free time volunteering at my daughter’s schools, especially with regards to the music programs because she’s a musician. When I have any extra time, I write.

I’ve always been a big fan of adventures written for children of all ages (including grown up ones like me.)  I adore books by JR Tolkien, CS Lewis, JK Rolling, and Madeleine L’Engle.

I write because I like to daydream and writing brings those daydreams to life.

I hope you like The Basker Twins. I had fun writing the first one and now I’m knee-deep into the second one. I can’t wait to find out what happens to Elsie, Everest, Larry, Vlas and Dar and of course all the rest of the gang at the Clone Academy.

Happy Reading!!!

Kristi
